Public Transit Improvements

TheRide is collaborating with the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan (RTA), ReImagine Washtenaw, and community stakeholders to improve transit and passenger amenities along the Washtenaw Avenue Corridor. We are working together toward future investments like:

  • Enhancing corridor stations
  • Integrating "express" limited stop service
  • Introducing traffic signal technology

This study corridor follows Washtenaw Avenue (M-17) and the Route 4 alignment, passing through many areas within Washtenaw County, including the City of Ann Arbor, Pittsfield Township, Ypsilanti Township, and the City of Ypsilanti.
