Service Standards

In line with Title VI guidelines overseen by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), TheRide and all other transit agencies create service standards and policies to help guide how various types of public transportation services are provided to riders. Transit agencies must produce data-based standards that monitor services to prohibit discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.

Service Standards - Public Engagement

TheRide is undertaking a project to review its standards and make recommendations for updating its policies based on current industry best practices that address the needs of the community, including on-time performance, frequency of service, hours of operation, bus stop spacing, bus stop amenities, passenger loads (overcrowding), among others. Any future major service changes will take these standards into account and will be reviewed every three years as part of the Title VI Program.
